The Juggle
A Women's Work-Life Balance Report by Bloom UK

Bloom UK recently released their new study, The Juggle, the largest ever industry consultation into women's work-life balance. The vital report sheds some light on key findings – for example, 93% of women say a lack of work-life balance has negatively impacted their mental health to some extent, with 48% saying their mental health has been significantly impacted.

This disproportionately affects women of colour, who are more likely to have experienced negative changes in their mood as a result of work-life imbalance, compared to white women (82% vs 74%). On top of that, it seems we’ve all accepted overtime work as part of the job, but we’re not always being fairly compensated – 57% of women say their employer doesn’t compensate them financially or with time in lieu for additional hours worked.

Female Leaders Unite!

Following the success of MAD//Fest 2023’s Female Leaders' Bar last year, MAD//Fest is keeping that fiery momentum flowing with the brand new Female Leaders' Club, which The Digital Voice™ is proud to be a partner of. Putting inspiration at the top of the agenda, one of our key projects as a FLC partner has been our ‘Cappuccinos and Cock-ups’ interview series.

These bite-sized interviews are making sure women are having their voices heard, flipping the narrative, and sharing their own moments with the world in a real way. We’re so used to social media only portraying the good or the success stories, but these interviews are about showing we’re human. We test, try, fail, and get up to try again - and that’s great.
