Julia Smith

Founder and Managing Director

Julia Smith founded The Digital Voice in 2012 and specialises in digital communications, PR, event content creation, press distribution, thought leadership, industry event moderating, awards writing, digital PR strategy and corporate voice overs.

Julia has expert knowledge in PR, communications and event content creation for adtech and martech companies. In her role as Founder of The Digital Voice, Julia manages a team that deliver PR, communications and showcase experiences for long-term clients including Impact, Adnami, White Bullet, Adverty, Cavai, Picnic, IAA, BloomFest, Audience Store & tmwi. 

She started her career in digital advertising at Dennis Publishing 25 years ago and has been at the heart of the changing digital media landscape ever since. Julia has held major commercial roles both agency and media side including Associated Newspapers, The Mirror Group Newspapers, Dennis Publishing, Harvest Digital, IAB, Nexus Business Media and UPC Media.

Julia was nominated for the Greatest Individual Contribution Award at the New Media Age Awards 2010. In 2016, Julia was voted by the industry as being in the top 5 Digital Trading Leaders 2016 at The Drum Digital Trading Awards.
Known as 'The Voice' Julia is a regular media commentator and often invited to speak at major conferences on issues surrounding brand safety and ad trading.

Julia is a committee member of women's network, dawn London and co-founder of Digital Leading Ladies which was created as an informal and inclusive group in 2018 and currently comprises 150+ of the most senior and entrepreneurial women in the digital advertising industry. Digital Leading Lads and Ladies was then set up in 2019 and has 170+ of the finest minds in UK ad tech who share information, expertise and connections with other media veterans. Julia is also co-founder of SPILL - Sober Party Industry Lads and Ladies which was set up for people who work in the digital ad industry who've said no to alcohol or wish to be a mindful drinker.

Kasey Long is PR and Communications Manager for The Digital Voice and works with clients across all areas of Events, Content Marketing, Social, Communications and PR planning and delivery. Prior to joining The Digital Voice, Kasey has held social media marketing and event programming roles for Velofest, Cape Resorts and Plexal.

Lucy Fisher

PR Consultant

Lucy Fisher is a leading journalist, copywriter and PR consultant with more than 15 years’ experience. In recent years, Lucy has been working as a communications consultant and media trainer for a variety of international PR companies and technology brands. Lucy frequently writes for a range of publications, from lifestyle magazines to martech journals and national newspapers and broadcasters. She is a PR expert in writing in-depth analysis and investigative articles for industry-leading publications and primarily works on B2B projects with a specialism in ad tech.

Adam Woods

Head of Content

Adam Woods has been a journalist, editor and ghost writer for more than 20 years. He has covered digital marketing and ad-tech in expert detail for as long as they have existed and writes about marketing and music for national newspapers, trade magazines and media and advertising clients. His work has featured in the Guardian, Mail on Sunday, Financial Times, Telegraph, Music Week, Campaign, IQ and numerous extinct B2B mags, and his corporate clients have included Havas, Eurosport, Digitas, IPC Media and Tug. He has interviewed many rock stars, though that is not automatically as interesting as it sounds.

Sarah Wragg

PR Consultant

Sarah Wragg is a writer and communications specialist with more than 15 years’ experience of the advertising industry. A former media trade journalist, she has also held a number of senior media agency communications roles with both a UK and an international focus. Sarah works with The Digital Voice clients on PR messaging and strategy as well as providing powerful copywriting for a range of channels.

Letitiah Obiri

PR Consultant

Letitiah Obiri is a content marketer and copywriter with experience at leading digital marketing agencies including Brooklyn Brothers and Havas. Letitiah has worked with some of the UK’s biggest brands including John Lewis, Tesco, Reuters and Virgin Trains. As a qualified journalist, she has also been featured in The Guardian, The Telegraph and Business Zone writing frequently about ecommerce, small business and social media.

Cameron Townsley

Communications and Events Executive

Cameron is Communications and Events Executive for The Digital Voice and is also studying for a Masters in Events Management.  Prior to joining The Digital Voice, Cameron has held various roles within event management and communications, including Creative Director for The University of Exeter’s magazine, RAZZ and Conference Assistant at EAIE’s annual conference. In her role as Communications and Events Executive, Cameron supports our clients' virtual experiences on The Digital Voice Remo platform, as well as on awards and industry events.
