The top adtech events to attend in 2027

A guide to the best adtech conferences, summits and networking events in 2027
The adtech events calendar is packed with big-name conferences, busy agendas and plenty of networking opportunities. But in 2027, the question isn’t simply which events are the biggest - it’s which ones are worth your time.
From more intimate gatherings to immersive experiences designed to make a lasting impression, the way we connect at industry events is evolving. Meanwhile, the conversations taking place on stage are changing too, with AI, measurement, brand discovery and the future of the open web all set to shape the industry’s agenda.
So, which events deserve a place in your calendar? We’ve rounded up our top adtech events to attend in 2027, from major international conferences to specialist summits - and don’t forget to check out our
2027 Industry Events Calendar for a full list of events happening next year.
And because choosing the right event is about more than dates and destinations, we’ve asked the directors at The Digital Voice™ to share their predictions for what’s hot and what’s not for the year ahead…
Julia Linehan, Founder & CEO: Smaller events, sharper focus
“2027 adtech events are getting smaller, sharper and a lot less interested in the giant stand.
The big halls aren’t going anywhere. Cannes and POSSIBLE will still matter, but the real work is increasingly happening in curated rooms: think tanks, roadshows, invitation-only breakfasts and intimate round tables. Fewer badges. Better questions. More time with the people you actually came to see.

Retail and commerce media will continue to top the bill, with CTV, DOOH and in-store media increasingly brought together as budgets span channels. Hyper-targeting, attention and contextual advertising will also remain firmly on the agenda.
The shift is in how we bring people together. In 2027, the events that count will be the ones that create meaningful connections and lead to the next meeting, not simply the ones with the most footfall.”

Camealia Xavier-Chihota, Marketing and Social Media Director: The power of real-world connection
“Six years after the pandemic, we’re still making up for lost small talk. We're a connection-starved bunch, and in an age of AI-generated everything, being in the same room is the one thing you can't prompt.
My prediction? The big industry events will keep getting bigger, but the real action will be on the edges.

Enter the fringe: laid-back gatherings, no stands or badge-scanning, just proper conversations. Brand collaborations share costs and audiences, while immersive experiences give people something to touch, try and talk about. Experience beats elevator speech every time.
With access to Cannes’ hotel bars and harbour getting tightened, smart brands will spot the next fringe before everyone else is in the same boat. Watch this space. Literally. Then go and fill it.”

In a world dominated by screens, it’s all about the tactile: bold visuals, retro touchpoints, hands-on activities and environments that feel

Jen Allsopp, Senior Press Director: The conversations set to shape the industry
“Shock horror, AI isn’t going anywhere. But hopefully, 2027 is the year we move from potential to delivery. Agentic AI will need to prove itself, including where human oversight is needed and who’s accountable when things go wrong.
AI is changing how brands get discovered. As more people turn to ChatGPT and other AI tools for recommendations, marketers will need to think beyond

rankings and clicks. Are you being recommended?
Measurement is still a sticking point. With more channels, platforms and data, proving genuine business impact will matter more than ever. Nice-looking dashboards won’t cut it.
And what about the open web? If AI answers mean fewer clicks, how will publishers drive traffic, monetise content and fund quality journalism? It’s a question the industry can’t afford to ignore.”
